LCP has launched a new Foundation for charitable giving which is planning to donate £150,000 per annum to charity. 

The Foundation will be making direct grants to a range of individual charities selected by our people. The first two donations totalling £80,000 have been granted to homeless charities West London Mission and Trinity Winchester. These charities are local to LCP’s offices in London and Winchester respectively and the firm has a history of fundraising for, and volunteering with them.

The funds available will also match – up to £1,000 per person per year - the fundraising of LCP partners and staff for the causes close to their hearts. The Foundation has already pledged matching donations to help tackle homelessness, support hospices and fund cancer research. 

In addition, the LCP Foundation will support and extend the volunteering activities already undertaken by individuals across the firm.

The LCP Foundation is managed by a Committee of seven representatives from all levels of our business with three of these members elected by our people.

“We decided to give our first charity grants to local homeless charities because empowering vulnerable members in our community is central to our culture at LCP. It has been a cause close to the hearts of our existing charity groups who have for many years been supporting them through fundraising and volunteering. We are absolutely delighted to continue supporting the great work done by Trinity and West London Mission with grants totalling £80,000.”

This really shows how committed LCP is to engaging with its local community and how its vision and values align with Trinity’s.  We particularly look forward to working with LCP on our Learning for Life programmes – helping our clients to regain confidence and self-esteem and enable them to re-enter education and employment.  We hope to involve staff in mentoring and training, giving mock interviews and sharing their skills.”
