LCP has won the award for Diversity Initiative of the Year at the 2020 InsuranceERM Awards.
The awards showcase the achievements in the insurance industry and recognise the best in risk management, actuarial and risk modelling practices, as well as the leading service providers in the UK and across Europe.
The award was open to all industry stakeholders and was designed to recognise successful processes that have been put in place to encourage and support diversity in the workplace.
LCP’s recent D&I initiatives include launching our four network groups – Women’s, Wellbeing, LGBT+ and Multicultural; running internal and external network-focussed events; training 10% of the firm as Mental Health First Aiders and supporting external initiatives such as the Diversity Project, Cityparents and Pride in London.
Commenting on the win, Cat Drummond, LCP Partner and co-chair of its LGBT+ network, said: “We are delighted to have won this award and it’s testament to the huge strides we have made across LCP that underpin our commitment to support diversity and inclusion in all its forms. There is always more to do, but we are proud of what we have achieved so far to empower people to be the best they can be and feel comfortable in being able to bring their whole selves to work.”
Tom Durkin, LCP’s Head of Insurance Consulting, added: “I’m really excited that we have received our second award for inclusion and diversity in as many months. I’m proud that inclusivity is such an important part of our team’s culture, and we know this is something our clients really value too.”
