LCP is delighted to have signed up to the UK’s first Black Hair code ‘The Halo Code’ - a campaign for employers who are proactively taking a stand to ensure that no member of their community faces barriers or judgments because of their Afro-textured hair. 

The Halo Code explicitly protects employees who come to work with natural hair and protective hairstyles associated with their racial, ethnic, and cultural identities. 

Jill Ampleford, Partner & co-chair of LCP’s Diversity and Inclusion Group, commented: 

“At LCP creating a supportive and inclusive environment is at the heart of our culture. With the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement and the work done by our Multicultural Network to increase awareness in the firm about race issues, it has made us look at how as a firm how we can best demonstrate our support for all our people.  We have taken this pledge as part of this and to further our mission to make sure we have an inclusive environment where all our current and future people feel welcome and supported.”
