I advise a wide variety of clients, providing general actuarial and consultancy services, to both trustees and employers, and specialise in advising housing associations and not-for-profit organisations.

I am Head of LCP’s Social Housing practice and have market leading experience of advising employers who participate in the Social Housing Pension Scheme (SHPS) and the Growth Plan, both of which are part of The Pensions Trust, and who participate in the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). I am also the appointed Scheme Actuary to a scheme operated by a large housing association.

I’ve advised over 50 associations, including the majority of the G15. I have also advised many organisations on transfers of their pension liabilities out of SHPS and into their own arrangements, including Radian (the first transfer) and Southern Housing (the first transfer that went out of The Pensions Trust).

I am also part of the Pensions Taxation Group within LCP, helping to keep clients up-to-date with the ever changing world of pensions taxation.

Mike came with a wealth of knowledge, quickly understood what we wanted to do and then guided us through to a result that exceeded our expectations and saved us a lot of money.
