LCP announces 11 new
partner promotions

Today, LCP is pleased to announce that 11 people have been newly promoted to partner positions across various areas of the business.

Commenting, Stephen Davies, Managing Partner at LCP, said: “Our continued success as a firm is down to the innovation and drive of our people. Our 11 new partners will further bolster our expertise and help us to achieve even bigger and better things with service and human connection always at the heart of our approach.”

The promotions include:

Ben Rees joined LCP in 2014 and is in the Pensions Actuarial team. He advises trustees and sponsors of pension schemes, and insurers on appropriate mortality and longevity assumptions that are tailored to his clients’ circumstances. He also works closely with his colleagues in LCP’s Health Analytics department to bring their medical and epidemiological insights to his advice.

Chris Martin joined LCP in 2023. He leads the De-risking Data initiative, getting pension schemes ready for transactions through efficient data and benefits preparation, continuing through to post-transaction cleanse and rectification efforts. He is also managing large multi-rectification programmes of work on behalf of his clients, where de-risking is not necessarily the end goal.

Christian Macnab joined LCP’s Pensions Administration department in 2013. He currently leads the department’s team responsible for identifying and applying legislative and regulatory change, taking a particular interest in all things pensions tax. Alongside this, Christian plays a pivotal role in the implementation of GMPe for our Pensions Administration clients, ensuring a seamless delivery of these projects for our clients and their members. 

Ed Harrison joined LCP’s Insurance Consulting team in 2019. He is a leading figure in providing risk consulting services to insurers and helping them set their reserves and capital. Ed is a personal lines insurance market and regulation specialist, chairs the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries’ reserving research group and sits on the General Insurance practice board.

Gayle Sullivan joined LCP’s Pensions Actuarial team in 2014. She advises global organisations on their international pension risk and global strategy including providing specialist advice regarding International Pension Plans and Channel Island pension provision. Gayle is also a member of LCP’s specialist Post Transaction team providing strategic advice and project management support to help clients successfully move their schemes to buyout and wind-up. 

Jacob Shah joined LCP’s Investment team in 2015 and works with some of LCP’s highest profile and most complex clients. He has led a number of initiatives that have helped drive LCP forwards and been recognised via several awards for his innovation and proactivity. To his clients, he brings expertise in designing investment strategies and modelling pension schemes. He sits on LCP’s central Investment Strategy Group, is a key member of LCP’s Asset Class Assumptions Group, and is a co-host of LCP’s podcast Investment Uncut.

James Silber joined LCP’s covenant team in 2022. He is a Chartered Accountant who specialises in employer covenant, restructuring and M&A work, supporting a range of trustee and corporate clients. He also leads LCP’s insurer financial diligence team, supporting trustees in understanding financial strength and covenant implications as part of pension risk transfer transactions. 

Matt Hawtin joined LCP’s Investment team in 2012. Within the department, Matt’s specialist area includes private equity research alongside client work. Matt also manages the Operational Analyst team within the investment department. The team is responsible for a number of tasks including making sure that clients are receiving the most out of the investment department and our technology systems. 

Nick Cooney joined LCP’s Investment team in 2015. He is a leading member of our investment research team, sitting on the Macroeconomic/ Strategy Panel, focusing on fixed income and operational due diligence. He is recognised as a credit industry expert and has an extensive network in the investment management industry. Since joining LCP, he has driven internal efficiency gains and helped build out new service areas for alternative markets. 

Peter Fanshawe has over 20 years of experience in LCP’s Pensions Actuarial department. He provides all aspects of actuarial advice and DB pensions consulting to trustees and companies, which has included guiding many schemes through the de-risking process to wind-up. Peter is also member of LCP’s specialist team which provides PPF levy management advice to clients. 

Sreeram Ramagopalan joined LCP’s Health Analytics team in 2023. His specialist areas are around the evidence needed to be provided to Health Technology Assessment (HTA) agencies such as NICE for medicine reimbursement and also developing strategies to help pharmaceutical companies achieve broad, rapid and sustainable access to their medicines globally.
