LCP Health Analytics
at ISPOR 2023

Our viewpoint

LCP Health Analytics will be attending the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) Europe 2023 conference and presenting our research across thirteen abstracts.

At LCP Health Analytics, we partner with our clients to help transition health systems from importers of illness to exporters of health. We are excited to meet you at ISPOR Europe 2023, the leading global conference for health economics and outcomes research. LCP Health Analytics is uniquely positioned to offer insights, guidance and expertise on the key themes of the conference, such as, using artificial intelligence to generate real-world evidence (RWE), holistic value assessment and equity considerations in medicine access.

Our multi-disciplinary team of epidemiologists, statisticians, data scientists, actuaries, policy and technology specialists will help you realign incentives around patient value across the healthcare system. We would love to discuss our approaches to solve the biggest health challenges of tomorrow.

Benefit from large language modelling and data visualisation

Whether you are trying to analyse large, complex datasets or shape the environment to reflect the broader value of medicines, we understand the challenges that come with deriving and communicating actionable insights. LCP’s expertise with artificial intelligence, data visualisation, and stakeholder engagement can bring out the richness of your real-world evidence in a timely, accessible and relevant manner. We have worked with complex, real-world datasets with a range of clients including the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) with whom we published an article on the variations in comorbidity in people living with type 2 diabetes.

We recently hosted a webinar with ISPOR on applications of Large Language Models (LLM) for real-world data analytics and how it could be used in Health Economics and Outcomes Research, for example in areas such as data analysis, protocol design and evidence synthesis.

Articulate the holistic value of medicines

Navigating the growing challenges of access and reimbursement and satisfying increasing demands from payers and HTA bodies can be a daunting process. We can help you secure optimal outcomes that ultimately benefit patients in accessing life-changing medicines.

Capturing the wider societal perspective is crucial to reflect the true value of medicines and align incentives between patients, healthcare systems and the research and development ecosystem. LCP’s recent assessment on the holistic value for a new antimicrobial drug for example, has demonstrated the impact to be much larger than previously calculated, at over £500 million for the UK alone.

Stay on top of the key challenges facing healthcare systems

We are collaborating with key stakeholders to help them solve their biggest health challenges. For example, with the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists we have shown a 60% increase in gynaecology waiting lists across the UK as a result of the pandemic. Healthcare technologies that can assist in reducing NHS waiting lists can provide health and economic benefits to the population.

To learn more, visit LCP’s poster at ISPOR, in collaboration with Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) titled: Projecting the Economic Benefits of the Elective Recovery Plan in England, where we have estimated a £73B gain in productivity over 5 years by increasing treatment capacity by 30%.
